Marine Corrosion
Corrosion comes in many forms and is responsible for hundreds of millions in damage across the maritime industry. If not properly protected… propellers and shafts can become weak and unusable, holes can appear in aluminum hulls fuel tanks, or through-hulls can disintegrate causing the boat to sink, the list goes on. Corrosion is an incredibly complex and damaging process that can occur in the most unexpected places/ways.
Alfredo is an expert in marine corrosion, having obtained his certification through ABYC (The American Boating and Yachting Council), and has seen and solved all types of corrosion puzzles. Whether it’s above or below the waterline, inside or outside the boat, he’s got you covered.
Corrosion Survey
Whether you are dealing with corrosion issues, or want to prevent problems before they occur, a corrosion survey is the way to go. In just a few hours we can evaluate issues you are dealing with and how to prevent them.
Anode Replacement
For the majority of boats, sacrificial anodes are the best way to protect yourself from galvanic corrosion. The majority of these anodes will be on the outside of the hull, and below the waterline. Dive services are offered here at AC Marine Electric.
